Yu-Gi-Oh: The Abridged Series

Do you know Yu-Gi-Oh: The Abridged Series? It´s a very funny Yu-Gi-oh parody. There are already 40 episodes released. Here´s the first one:




I used to watch every Yu-Gi-Oh episode a few years ago, and I also played the card game. I love this franchise. After watching this, maybe I´ll watch the original anime again ^_^

I can´t wait....

I just visited a few clubs on MAL and searched a bit around. And I found out that a Sekirei game is just released in Japan! I love the Sekirei franchise, so this is an absolute must-buy for me. But I´ll wait a bit, maybe it is released in the USA later.

The Formula One Season is over

My first blog entry about the Formula One. I know, this is not anime-related. But sports are my second-biggest interest (after anime/manga, of course), so I wanna write down my thoughts about some of this stuff.

So the season 2009 has finally come to an end. I think the right guy is World Champion. Button´s victory was well-deserved, unless Hamilton´s in the last year (I dislike McLaren so much since 2007, cant express it with words xD *Alonso fangirl*). Congrats to the whole Brawn team. And to my compatriot Sebastian Vettel, too. I´m very excited about the next season, especially about who will drive for which team ^_^

Due to my limited knowledge of english, I don´t know what else to write^^ So I´ll show you some F1 vids I found on Youtube.

One of my favourite games gets a sequel. But WHY is SW3 a Wii-only release? I don´t own a Wii, and I don´t want to buy one. But the trailers are very nice... The fighting-style of the girl with the whip-thingy looks good. I wanna play this game...Aww... Anyway, here are the trailers:

Here are the promised pictures of my collection.


I bought most of these manga volumes on Ebay for only 24 EUR ^_^ This is stuff like +Anima, King of Hell, Banya, Comic Party, HunterXHunter, Dream Saga, Sailor Moon, Maison Ikkoku, Detective Conan and WJuliet.

Completed series

I´m currently sick (I´ve got a bad cold *choo*), so I´ve got lots of time for watching anime. Here is my opinion to the series I currently completed.

Pokemon Chronicles

22 episodes of Pokemon without Satoshi/Ash. WOOHOO!! I don´t like Ash at all. He´s gotten even more childish than he was in the first season. Because of him I don´t watch the Pokemon TV series anymore. But a few months ago I heard of the Pokemon Chronicles and decided to watch them.
Most of the episodes show the happenings at Professor Oak´s labor at Pallet Town. Other episodes are about Team Rocket´s history, and the last eps. are a sequel of the anime Pichu Brothers from the GC game Pokemon Channel.

I enjoyed the Chronicles. Although most of them were like fillers, they were quite entertaining (for example when Psyduck learns to swim^^). And the new Pichu Bros. episodes were cute ^-^




Mahou Sensei Negima

A 10-year-old teacher at a girls school. Sounds hilarious, and it is hilarious. And om top of this: Negi Springfield, the young teacher, is a magician. And of course, no one should know this.

The character cast is HUGE. And I mean huge. 31 girls in Negi´s class and lots of other people and villains. I can´t remember the names of all girls^^ The charas are all different and I liked almost all of them. My favorites are Nodoka Miyazaki, the silent bookworm (she´s in love with Negi, but can´t say it to him) and Chisame Hasegawa, the anti-social computer freak (and famous net-idol ^_^).

I liked this anime, but the manga is better, I think.



He is my Master

Too lazy to write a description. Copied from MAL:

Yoshitaka Nakabayashi, a 14-year-old millionaire who got this huge inheritance after his parents died in an accident, found himself needed to be taken care of and tried to hire live-in maids to do the job. Two runaway girls, Izumi Sawatari and her younger sister Mitsuki, stumped into Nakabayashi's mansion and got hired by Yoshitaka immediately, for Yoshitaka is not only a rich boy but also a pervert with uniform fetishes, who wants to be addressed as goshujin-sama (master). Having nowhere else to settle down along with Mitsuki's pet alligator Pochi, Izumi accepted the job reluctantly.

HimM is a funny ecchi-harem anime. The characters are all crazy (even Izumi). My faves are Anna-chan, who´s in love with Izumi and wants to marry her in the Netherlands; Pochi, the alligator and Seiichirou Nakabayashi, Yoshitakas cousin and a crossdresser (he looks cute as a girl xD).

If you like harem comedy, then this anime is for you^^

I´m a girl. And girls love shopping. I´m no exception^^ Although I don´t buy shoes and bags but lots and lots of manga^^

Let´s see...my last entry was a month ago. Enough time for me to a few dozens of manga^^ I´ll post a new list and pictures soon. Here are some of my sales:

Boring things...

My first entry since a week...I was way too tired at the weekdays, I couldn´t write an entry^^

Yesterday I went to a local supermarket, and there was a book bargain sale. Since they only cost EUR 1,00, I bought 10 of them^^ Got a few manga, too:

In the next week, I´ll only have to work for 7 hours a day (instead of nine), so maybe I can write another entry ^_^

Summer´s over...

The summer is over, and also my free time^^ I watched so many animes during the last 6 weeks, I can´t count them anymore xD But now I´m going back to school. I´m starting a job training and I won´t have much time for my hobbies anymore, sadly. Nevertheless I will spent every free minute watching anime, reading manga and playing games. (That´s why I like Konata so much: She´s just like me ^_^)

Back to gaming: I finished my first X-Blades walkthrough. I played on normal difficulty and found it really easy. But now I´ve started a second run on Pro. That was really hard, I died in the third level -.- I don´t think I´ll finish this soon, I´ll play Phantasy Star Universe first. (I have to update my X360 gamertag. I never put my Xbox on the internet^^

What else to say...Pokemon HeartGold and SoulSilver are released today in Japan. I´ll purchase them as soon as I can^^ Have to save money...


Can´t wait anymore T____T

My current anime-related goal is finishing Inu Yasha. I´m at episode 29 now and still nothing really happened -.- I´m waiting for the new season that should start airing this fall.

So much rants^^ And I think I´ve made a lot of mistakes^^

Manga review: Marmalade Boy

Already my second review xD Just finished Marmalade Boy and liked it^^

Marmalade Boy
Marmalade Boy is a shoujo romance-comedy manga by Wataru Yoshizumi.

Story:
Two couples decide to get divorced and swap partners with another couple, then marry again. Sounds hilarious? Yeah, it is hilarious, but also very funny. Not only the adults, but also their children, Miki and Yuu, fall in love with each other. There are lots of the typical shoujo stuff, but also comedical and sad moments. I liked the story and the humor^^

Characters:
The main characters are Miki and her new stepbrother Yuu. They didn´t like each other when they first met, but later fell in love. There are lots of supporting characters, like Meiko (Miki´s friend), Ginta (Miki had a crush on him), Namura (a teacher at Miki´s school and Meiko´s lover). I think the cast is very nice. The characters are all very likable.

Art:
I like the mangaka´s art style. The sad scenes are well-drawn, but also the funny scenes^^ In my opinion, her style looks sometimes a bit like Rumiko Takahashi´s. Especially Yuu reminds my of Ranma 1/2.

My opinion:
At the first look, Marmalade Boy seems to be a typical shoujo story. But it´s more than this. I loved the mix of serious and funny scenes. I would recommend this manga to every shoujo fan. But fans of other genres should give it a try, too^^

X-Blades

I just started playing X-Blades (X360). I bought it a while ago and now finally decided to try it ^^

I like the graphics, nice 3D-art. Want to see (click to view full size) ?





The control is also very easy. I like fighting and Hack'n'Slay games very much, but usually I´m not really good at them T___T But I got through the first 6 levels easily (I´m playing on middle difficulty).

I think this game is often underrated. Sure, it gets repetative and maybe a bit boring if you play too many levels in a row. But if you like hack'n'slay games and don´t play for more than two hours^^, then this is a good game for you.

Manga review: Yonen Buzz

I´ll post my thoughts about manga series I recently finished. Maybe I use this as a review on MAL, too.
My first review ever^^

Yonen Buzz
Yonen Buzz is a music-themed manga by the german mangaka Christina Plaka. I´ve read the prequel Prussian Blue and wanted to know how the story continues.

Story:
The manga is about a band called "Plastic Chew" and their struggles to get a record contract. The band member are Jun (guitar, vocals), Keigo (drums), Atsushi (bass) and Sayuri, the second vocalist. In Prussian Blue, she recently moved to the boys' flat and fell in love with Jun. In Yonen Buzz, she studies music and has no more time for the band practices and also not for Jun, who´s very sad about it. He ruins a audition and the band doesn´t get a contract. After that, Sayuri decides to start a solo carrier and the band is about to fall apart. Can the boys go on without Sayuri? Read the manga, and you´ll know it ^_^

Art:
I didn´t really like the art. Especially the faces are sometimes a bit edgy. But the backgrounds and stuff like clothes was well drawn.

Characters:
I liked the characters. Especially Jun and Sayuri developed with the story. Sayuri starts her solo carrier and doesn´t have much time to spend with Jun, but she still seems to love him. And Jun was always a bit mysterious. His past isn´t really enlightened. The readers don´t get to know what happened to his parents.
Keigo and Atsushi are more supporting, but nevertheless I liked them.

My opinion:
I liked this manga. Everyone who loves music, drama and romance storys will like this. I give it a 8/10 because I really enjoyed reading.

Computer problems

I hate my computer...

Since a few weeks, my PC doesn´t work. There´s nothing on the screen sometimes, or the whole screen is full of colourful stripes...Or it works for a few minutes, then goes out. And when I press the On-Button, sometimes the PC beeps 2 times fast and 8 times slow.

Good thing I got a laptop on my birthday. I can´t live without computer and internet. Don´t wanna imagine: no Ebay, no MAL, no anime and manga...OMG!

Pokemon ranting

Long time no blog entry, huh? ^_^ It´s me again xD

I wanna write something about Pokemon. I loved the first season of the anime 10 years ago, when I was a child. I can´t believe that 10 years already passed^^ On my tenth birthday I got the Pokemon 2000 movie DVD and watched it 10 times - at least ^_^ I love Lugia, he´s awesome :D

So cool....and cute ^^

But now I just watch the series sometimes for fun. I always laugh about stupid Ash xD

The games are much better. I started gaming with the Gold Edition. By now, I played every regular Pokemon edition, but I sold most of them. I´m really looking forward to HeartGold and SoulSilver. They have to be good.

I´m currently playing the Platinum edition. I´m still not really far in the game^^ Just won the Eterna City badge and beat Team Galactic.

Why didn´t I win on the lottery? xD

As you can see: My manga collection is quite big, and I´ve spent lots of money on it. But I don´t wanna stop buying new volumes (I´m an nerd, anyway^^). And this fall/winter season, lots of interesting games will be released. So far I wanna buy these (some of them are already older):

(Quite much fighting games...although I´m a RPG player xD)

And there are more to come, like the Tales games for the PSP, Pokemon HeartGold and SoulSilver *sigh* How does Konata always have enough money for her games and manga? ^_^

That leads me to my next subject: Lucky Star. I´m really obsessed with it at the time. I really enjoyed Azumanga Daioh, but I like Lucky Star even more. I love the references to other animes and games^^ And the characters and the art and...everything^^ Maybe I´ll write my first MAL review about it. And I have to buy the manga volumes from Amazon or Ebay.

Favourite Manga

These are my Manga faves:



The Train Man manga is great! I also read the novel and loved it, too. I couldn´t believe that it was a true story, it´s just too good to be true ^_^


Trusty Bell is the japanese name of the game Eternal Sonata. I loved this game, so I had to read the manga. I didn´t really like the art, but the story and characters are great.

As I said before in the Anime section: I love the Slayers franchise. I stumbled upon it by chance and immediately fell in love with it



Not much to say here: I love Sakura Taisen ^_^
Wanna play the games too, but I don´t understand japanese language.




Maison Ikkoku is another great work of Rumiko Takahashi, my favourite mangaka. Her art is stunning, I love all her series I´ve read so far. MI is my favourite slice-of-life manga. (By the way: I also love the Ranma1/2 and Inuyasha manga, but I´m too lazy to add the pics again^^)


Maniattemasu isn´t really famous, but I loved the romance story. I like the art style, too. Have to read the mangakas other works.






Sekirei, again^^ Please read the anime section about it ^_^







Kyo Kara Maoh is great. I love the novels and the manga. When I first read the description - a guy is flushed through the toilet and becomes Demon King - I know that I must read this^^



I didn´t think that I´ll ever read Elfen Lied, since I don´t like this bloody stuff^^ But I saw a few pics and had to give it a try. For some reason, I really like it. Although I can´t explain why^^



Chobits was one of the first manga I´ve ever read. I love Clamp´s artwork. I have to read some of their other stuff.
